reaching women with hope

What Does a CityFest Women’s Outreach Look Like?

We all have our own experience with hope. Hope is powerful. It has the power to bring life, and if dashed, could mean utter destruction. And sadly, if we're honest with ourselves, we have far more experience living without it than we do with it. We recognize this truth and know we can actively partner with God in sharing life-changing hope. During a CityFest movement, local leaders generously take it upon themselves to plan and put on special women’s outreaches in the cities where a festival will take place, all with the goal of spreading the infectious hope of God.

Women from all walks of life come together to share a meal and receive a word of Good News from Wendy Palau, who vulnerably shares her own story of grief and loss, and finding hope in the midst of it. The event centers on proclaiming the Gospel, encouraging women to choose hope… to choose Jesus!

A key factor of a CityFest women’s outreach is community and connection. Each table is hosted by a local believer who invites 7 other women—women they personally know from their life—to come and hear about the hope that Jesus offers. Beautiful live worship music fills the room, local leaders share the vision of CityFest, and the time together ends with Wendy pouring out her heart. Through this event, we have seen numerous women—from cities all over the world—begin to share their own stories, asking for prayer, and sharing how Wendy’s story impacted them.

“Thank you, Wendy, for sharing your testimony. I was able to cast my burdens at the feet of God. I know He loves me and has delivered me and set me free!” – a woman who attended a recent woman’s event in Southwest Connecticut.

Meet Wendy Palau

Wendy Palau shoulders a burden for the brokenhearted, born out of her own experience of loneliness, pain, and loss. While raised in a loving home on the island of Jamaica, her heart sought fulfillment and peace in all the wrong places.

At 25 years of age, God radically changed her life, and she found the true joy she had been longing for. She and her husband, Andrew, have since dedicated their lives to sharing this message of hope with hurting people around the world. For the past several years, they have led multiple festivals around the United States and the world reaching millions of people and partnering with thousands of churches in cities throughout Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, the Caribbean, and the United States of America.

Currently, Wendy leads festival outreaches to women, sharing the hope she has found in Christ through her own personal story. She also shares the Good News through Palau’s Hope with God Radio and digital evangelism efforts.

Wendy and Andrew live in Portland, Oregon with their three children.

Stories of Hope

Her new book, Stories of Hope, shares unique and diverse stories from multiple different women from around the world, highlighting how Christ worked in their lives to bring hope in their darkest moments. These women came face to face with hopelessness and despair. Yet in the midst, they found the undeniable, irreplaceable hope they had been desiring. And in that, they found life.

Join with us on this journey. Walk in the shoes of these women. You might find their stories quite resemble your own.
